Stories With Impact
Online Course
Stories With Impact is a five-week workshop that combines storytelling and the spirit of activism to create compelling narratives that raise social awareness. Participants will write personal, thought-provoking stories that inspire change, challenge perspective, create empathy, and encourage action. In this course, you will develop stories that tell the truth with themes of joy active throughout the writing; utilizing art to promote joyful resistance.

When: Mondays, Sept 15th- Oct 13th 2025 (on Zoom)
Time: 7pm - 9pm EST
Writers are expected to dedicate 2 hrs/week outside of class completing their reflections & writing prompts.

This November course is a four-week series will be led by playwright and Social Impact Consultant/Educator Julissa Contreras.
As a writer, performer, podcaster, educator, and advocate, Julissa focuses on storytelling as a framework for the expansion of our collective consciousness and the preservation of our nuanced yet meaningful histories. Julissa leans into her perspective of the world as a Dominicana from the Bronx as well as those of the surrounding communities that have socialized her experience.
