March Lecture: RESISTING ERASURE
(Embracing the Present: The Role of Art in Our Times)
Guest Lecturer: Nelson Diaz Marcano
March 11th | 7-8pm ET

In today's complex world, it is essential to document and reflect on our experiences through art, as it serves both personal exploration and the preservation of our collective truths and cultures. Artistic expression captures the essence of our times, addressing social justice, environmental issues, and the pursuit of equality. Writers like Nelson play a crucial role in guiding others to balance personal expression with collective responsibility, ensuring their voices resonate authentically. He will lead participants through a process of strategies to infuse art with meaning, connecting personal narratives to broader societal issues, and empowering them to keep important stories alive. Learn how your voice can be a resistance against erasure.
