Wordsmith Seminar
Instructor: Christin Eve Cato
Designed as a focused and generative space, the seminar supports writers developing full-length or feature-length material through guided discussion, page sharing, and disciplined writing practice.
Course Topics
At the center of the course is an exploration of personal mythology and ethics—how your worldview, lived experiences, and values shape the voice through which you tell your stories
The Work
Through reflective discussion and craft exploration, participants will revisit and refine their current projects while strengthening the philosophical foundation behind their writing.
Feedback & Support
The seminar blends craft discussion, generative exercises, goal-setting, and workshop sessions to help writers show up consistently and dedicate meaningful time to their work.
Across the semester, writers will participate in 12 weekly discussions on craft, personal mythology, and ethics. The seminar is designed to help writers reexamine their writing voices and develop a deeper understanding of how their personal philosophical and ethical beliefs lay the foundation for their storytelling.
